Here we are at Tachibana in Mclean, signing the long-awaited contract to option Peter Zheutlin’s manuscript, “One Woman Show.” Peter, the great-grand nephew of Annie, spent years meticulously re-building Annie’s journey, one leg at a time. Peter’s writings and his research will be invaluable resource to us as we delve deeper into The New Woman.

Across the table from us is our media lawyer Laura Possessky. Laura has helped us with the contract, and given us a basic understanding of media law. Active in the DC film community and in WIFV, Laura is a partner at Gura & Possessky. She is also a great role model to us because she has essentially paved her own way in the business world to create the work environment that best fits her life. She sets her own hours, works largely from home, supports local women in the arts, and still manages to have a family. Adding to her 3 year-old son, she’s expecting another baby on the way in September. Congrats Laura!
